KP CM announces Rs50m grant for Paraplegic Centre

Peshawar  -  Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Khan Gandapur visited the Paraplegic Centre Peshawar and announced a special grant of Rs50 million for the institution, along with an increase in its annual grant from Rs300 million to Rs400 million.

Accompanied by cabinet members Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, Ehtesham Ali, and Humayun Khan, the chief minister reviewed medical services at the centre and directed the release of the remaining Rs75 million from the current grant. He also ordered inclusion of core medical services under the Sehat Card Plus scheme.

KP cabinet reviews Disability Rights Act implementation

A meeting of the provincial cabinet committee on the “Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Act 2021” was held on Thursday in Peshawar, chaired by Provincial Minister for Law, Aftab Alam Advocate.  The Provincial Minister attended the meeting for Social Welfare and Women Development, Syed Qasim Ali Shah, Advocate General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shah Faisal Uthman Khel, and other relevant officials. Committee members presented their suggestions and opinions regarding the Act.
