Lahore, 13 March 2024: The Pakistan Deaf Cricket Team led by Zaka Ahmed Qureshi has been crowned the champion of the Deaf International Cricket Council (DICC) T20 World Cup 2024 held at Cricket Vision Centre, Sharjah, UAE from 6 to 12 March.
A total of six nations took part in the fourth edition of the DICC T20 World Cup including Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, South Africa and Australia. Pakistan Deaf Cricket Team remained unbeaten in the tournament.

Deaf International Cricket Council (DICC) CEO Muhammad Zahir Uddin Babar from Pakistan on Monday said that the DICC T20 World Cup UAE 2024 would roll into action from March 4 to 12 at the Vision Cricket Center in Sharjah.
Growing up as a deaf girl, communication at home was tough for Hareem Mustafa’s family. Currently, Hareem is sharing her stories on Instagram, using colorful pictures and fun posts. Each picture and post work as a small lesson, bringing people closer to understanding each other. Hareem’s story was shared at an event organised by Special Talent Exchange Program (STEP) and UNFPA on the occasion of International Disability Day, where she was recognized as a champion of disability inclusion for promoting newer ways of communication for persons with disability.
Rehmat Ali Hasnie, President National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), recently made a visit to the Head Office of the Network of Organisations Working for People with Disabilities, Pakistan (NOWPDP). During his visit, he presented the organisation with a donation of Rs 5 million to support a wide range of services and training initiatives.
